Debbie Carney
As the Managing Director of local training provider Mode Training Debbie is responsible for the strategic management of both local and national contracts. She joined Mode back in 1997 and built the company from a small local hairdressing training provider to the well respected provider of skills Mode is today.
She became the sole owner in 2002. Since then the company has expanded and now delivers training and development to more than 700 students each year in subjects ranging from Hairdressing Make up and beauty to Music Technology, Business Skills, Autism Awareness and Children and Young People Mental Health Awareness.
The company is regulated by Ofsted and is graded as grade 2 good.
Debbie is also the Chair of Greater Merseyside Learning Provider Federation representing more than 70 local training providers across Liverpool City Region. She sits on Liverpool City Region Careers Hub ensuring providers are well represented within the wider education sector across the city and was key in the implementation of Liverpool City Region apprenticeship hub empowering young people to make informed career choices when leaving school. She is a mental health first aider and an advocate for mental health. The health and well-being of both staff and students is one of the companies key priorities and this is driven from the top right through the organisation.
